Job Description

As a Freight Operations Supervisor at XPO, you'll lead and supervise freight operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while managing a team to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
  • Develop and implement strategic work procedures
  • Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks
  • Supervise hourly staff and act as primary point of contact for workplace concerns
  • Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and administrative functions
  • Plan hourly employee schedules
  • Enforce compliance with policies, rules, regulations, and laws
  • Coach and develop employees
  • Conduct daily staff meetings
  • Inspect working conditions and ensure safety
  • Minimize shipment rehandle across the network

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment
  • Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations
  • Available to work a variety of shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics
  • 4 years of related work or military experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and motivate your team
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills
