Job Description

Join Spectrum Business as an Enterprise Sales Engineer II and lead the charge in transforming customer connectivity challenges into innovative solutions. With a focus on technical sales in the telecom industry, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with teams, and drive the design of tailored network solutions that empower clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical sales process with expertise in Managed Services, Dedicated Fiber Internet, and Unified Communications
  • Craft tailored network solutions for clients to achieve their connectivity goals
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Sales Managers
  • Articulate complex topics and concepts to diverse audiences
  • Partner with Account Executives for client technical discovery
  • Design intricate voice and data network solutions
  • Manage proposal pricing and ensure solutions meet client needs
  • Provide post-sale support and training to installation teams
  • Stay updated on telecom trends and uphold policy compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in a related field
  • 5 years of technical sales experience in the telecom industry, supporting large enterprise customers
  • Proficient in WAN solutions, data security (Firewalls, VPNs, DNS), voice networking (SIP, VoIP) and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Skilled in using MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong multitasking and leadership skills to drive sales results
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written for articulating complex solutions
  • Consultative approach to customer solutions and long-term relationship building
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and participating in RFI/RFP processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree focused on IT or Telecommunications Engineering Technology
  • Certifications in networking, WAN, voice communications and network security (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet)
  • Ability to present service designs emphasizing value and benefits
  • Five years in voice/data communications roles, strategic account positioning and RFP strategy development
