Job Description

Join The Jewish Board as a Crisis Behavioral Health Clinician, making a significant impact on children and young adults facing mental health crises. You'll provide culturally competent crisis interventions and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure effective treatment within the Staten Island community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis referrals within 2 hours and perform risk assessments
  • Work with clients and families to create safety plans
  • Develop and implement short-term service plans
  • Utilize evidence-based practices for short-term clinical interventions
  • Maintain case documentation in electronic health record system
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
  • Assist in the intake process for new consumers
  • Enhance communication with family advocates

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Mental Health clinician
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience with similar client population
  • Proficient reading and writing in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual clinicians (if relevant to the population serviced at site)
