Key Responsibilities of the RN – Labor and Delivery:
Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery.
Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate, and overall progress of labor.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
Educate and support patients and families on postpartum care and newborn health.
Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital safety standards.
Requirements:
Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility).
Minimum of 1–2 years recent Labor and Delivery experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
Ability to perform effectively in high-stress and fast-paced environments.
