Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Youngstown, Ohio (44512) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend/holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1550-$1660
• Start Date: 2025-12-01

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients
• Deliver high-quality, safe patient care and promote patient and employee safety
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to care team members for continuity of care
• Contribute positively to unit operations, team building, and a safe work environment
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
