Job Description

Join our team as a Patient Accounts Representative, where you'll leverage your expertise in healthcare billing to manage patient accounts, ensure accurate payment processing, and provide exceptional customer service. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of insurance processes
  • Accurately record payments received from patients and insurance companies
  • Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
  • Interact with patients and their families to address billing inquiries
  • Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and transactions
  • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare billing regulations
  • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
