Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team in providing essential veterinary care to underserved communities. You will oversee clinic operations, perform surgeries, and support fellow veterinarians, all while making a significant impact on animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Clinic
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular coaching and feedback
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Manage clinic operations and assist with administrative tasks
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
