Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will provide essential evaluations and treatments to improve patient outcomes. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to enhance community education and clinical training for students.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status.
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques.
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques.
Educates patients and families on home exercise programs.
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines.
Seeks and fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care.
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year.
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license.
Is eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Must have a valid driver's license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
