Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, including open heart surgery cases
• Preferred experience in Ortho, Neuro, DaVinci Robot, General, Gyn, and Podiatry surgical cases
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation as required
• Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not eligible)
• Submission of valid RN license, certifications, driver’s license, and permanent home address required

Key Responsibilities for OR RN – Cardiovascular Surgery

• Circulate in open heart and general surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and quality care
• Assist with operating room turnover and maintain adequate surgical supplies
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation as part of the surgical nursing team
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner EMR system
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
