Key Responsibilities
Assess fine motor, visual motor, visual-perceptual, sensory motor and self-care skill levels
Work and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents from diverse backgrounds
Write Individual Education Programs (IEP) and measurable annual goals and objectives
Apply goal-directed, developmentally sequenced activities to enhance student potential
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited OT program (minimum: Bachelor of Science)
Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
State License as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Experience as a School Based OT
Preferred Qualifications
Additional training/experience in pediatrics, neurodevelopmental therapy, sensory integration, CPR/First Aid
Working knowledge of State rules and regulations for disabled students
