Job Description

Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Low Observable Design, Analysis and Test Engineer, where you will work on cutting-edge Stealth technology projects. You will design, analyze, and test low observable systems, contributing to national security with minimal supervision while collaborating with a multi-disciplined team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test low observable technologies
  • Write proposals and develop Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Perform Radar Cross Section (RCS) predictions
  • Document test preparation, data analysis, and design trades
  • Integrate advanced signature control techniques into deliverables
  • Present results to internal and external customers
  • Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) efforts
  • Provide project management and identify project impacts
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten (10) years of engineering experience in Low Observable (LO) technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges
  • Experience with absorber material treatments/design and testing (coatings, paint, MAGRAM)
  • Academic or applied experience with RF testing techniques
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Experience in infrared signature analysis and control
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language
  • Advanced radar system development or test experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computational electromagnetic codes
