The General Manager at Transdev will oversee all operations to ensure safe and reliable service while managing employee relations and financial performance. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, this role demands strong leadership and strategic direction to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage overall operations and ensure safe and reliable service
Build relationships with employees, clients, union partners, and the local community
Set commercial and operational strategic direction
Lead management team to achieve safety goals and financial objectives
Identify and develop business growth opportunities
Optimize asset return and manage budget compliance
Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards
Oversee staff management and training
Required Qualifications
Completion of a four-year college degree in a relevant field
At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation
Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws
Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations
Ability to build strong working relationships with clients
Ability to manage cost control and financial budget
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field
Understanding of technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and transportation technology
Ability to navigate Labor Relations issues
