Job Description
As a Transportation Supervisor at Sysco, you'll oversee the delivery operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing leadership to the delivery team. This role requires a CDL A license and involves managing schedules, budgets, and maintaining strong communication with both associates and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Manage labor hours and budget for consumable supplies
Prepare work schedules and oversee company asset utilization
Communicate effectively with Sales Management and Marketing Associates
Conduct regular department meetings to maintain associate relations
Monitor associate morale and engagement
Coordinate training and safety inspections with the Safety department
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Preferred Qualifications
2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
HazMat certification
Completion of a Sysco approved defensive driving program
