Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel Position
Location: Mesa, AZ
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s
Pay: $2,365/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a healthcare facility in Mesa, AZ, on a travel contract. The OT will evaluate and treat patients requiring rehabilitation services to restore independence and improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing patients’ quality of life through individualized therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.
Provide interventions focused on mobility, coordination, self-care, and cognitive rehabilitation.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive equipment, and home programs.
Document assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain a safe, supportive therapy environment and uphold infection control standards.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona (or compact license).
Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience, preferably in rehab, acute, or long-term care settings.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
