Key Responsibilities
Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel
Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the U.S.
Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Age below 40 at the time of referral (some exceptions apply)
Specialized experience or education equivalent to GS-9 grade level
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher
LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited institution
Spanish language skills (for certain locations)
