Key Responsibilities
Ensure high quality, low stress care for patients
Oversee behavioral diagnosis and treatment plans
Lead and mentor behavior staff
Cultivate relationships with senior leadership and other departments
Manage team operations and staffing levels
Lead research projects related to animal behavior
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels
Experience with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions
Fear Free certified within 6 months of hire
Low Stress Handling – Silver certified or ability to obtain certification within the first year
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Interest in writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
