Key Responsibilities
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
Implements and monitors patient care plans
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assess patients
Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel
Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
Develops, implements, and revises individualized plans of care
Participates in activities for professional growth and development
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Associate degree required
Current Connecticut RN license
BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
