Job Description
As a Transportation Supervisor at Sysco, you will oversee delivery operations, ensuring safety and compliance while managing staff and resources efficiently. Your leadership will enhance team performance and improve customer service in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Manage labor hours and supplies within budget
Prepare work schedules
Organize required repairs
Review delivery functions and productivity reporting
Communicate with Sales Management and Marketing Associates
Visit customer locations to address issues
Maintain open communication channels with associates
Coordinate efforts with the Safety department
Make recommendations for disciplinary action
Execute management functions of staff selection and development
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience and/or training
Complete a Sysco-approved defensive driving program
Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
