Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian where you will lead a dedicated team in providing essential veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll play a key role in training, mentoring, and delivering high-quality care while fostering a positive work culture and making a significant impact on animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage
Participate in veterinary medicine rounds and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
