Position Overview We are seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) for our high-volume, fast-paced 70-bed Emergency Department (ED) at Inspira Health. This role requires the ability to provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients, including those requiring critical care interventions. The unit utilizes advanced equipment such as ventilators and BiPAP machines. Automatic offers are extended for candidates with less than 2 weeks of requested time off (RTO) at submission.

- Required Certifications at Submission : BLS, PALS, ACLS, 8 hours of stroke continuing education units (CEUs), 8 hours of trauma CEUs
This is a travel contract position emphasizing high-volume, fast-paced ED experience. Candidates must be adaptable to a dynamic environment with critical care elements.
Education & Experience: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience required.
- Prior travel nursing experience required (must have completed at least one full contract assignment).
- High-volume, fast-paced ED experience strongly preferred.
Certification/Licensure: - Active New Jersey RN License or Compact State License required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Important Note : Pending certifications or those expiring within 30 days of submission are not accepted. All certifications must be current and valid at the time of application.
Scheduling and Time Off
- Weekends : Every other weekend or a minimum of 2 weekends per month, based on unit needs.
- Holidays : None required.
- Requested Time Off (RTO) : No more than 3 days total accepted. Submit RTO at the time of application.
- Block Scheduling/Special Requests : Not permitted. Schedules are determined by unit needs.
First Day Instructions? /Orientation:
Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination- once scheduled, candidate does not have the option of rescheduling any classes.
Candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira the Friday before the Monday start. The email will contain the following information;
- They will receive instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream Module from Human Resources sometime prior to 8:30 on Monday. Monday GEO will be Virtual from their own computer. The modules assigned must be completed by Monday or they will be removed from the orientation list.
- In person class schedule list - Typically Tues-Thurs- these classes are held in multiple locations. The location may not be listed in the original email, candidate is required to use Health Stream to determine class location day of. Please Note *The POCT class will required to attend and is not during orientation week.
- Unit based orientation schedule from manager.
- Badge ID Link - instructions on how to make an appointment t o receive their ID badge in person. Photo submissions are not permitted. Must be complete during orientation. The Badge is required for clock ins.
