San Antonio OR RN Job Details

• Location: San Antonio, Texas 78201
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Operating Room
• Shifts: 8-hour day shifts (06:30-15:00), Monday-Friday with variable/flex On-Call
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call Requirements: One weekday on-call per week (17:00-06:30) and one weekend on-call every 3-4 weeks (Friday 17:00 – Monday 06:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1750-$1870

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, including CT surgery
• Experience with General, Orthopedic, and Spine surgeries
• Proficiency with Balloon Pump and Total Joint Surgery procedures
• Ability to float to other nursing units as needed
• Preferred: CNOR certification, Meditech EMR experience, Mako Robot experience, and scrub experience

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the Operating Room
• Assist with CT, Orthopedic, Spine Trauma, and General Surgery procedures
• Operate and monitor specialized surgical equipment, including Balloon Pumps and Mako Robots
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care activities in Meditech EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation and float to other hospital units as required
• Comply with facility dress code and infection control protocols
