Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments in accordance with the established treatment plan
  • Maintain and operate adaptive equipment and assistive devices integral to occupational therapy interventions
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers about occupational therapy techniques and strategies for effective self-management
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Monitor patient responses during treatment and accurately document outcomes in the medical record
  • Report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Provide care in diverse clinical settings, including hospitals and rehabilitation centers
  • Adjust effectively to various clinical settings and evolving patient care needs
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently to manage multiple patients and responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • COTA Certification (NBCOT)
  • Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant experience, but New Grads are welcome to apply
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
