The Veterinarian, Medical Director at the ARC will provide compassionate veterinary care for animals rescued from cruelty and neglect, while managing medical cases and team dynamics. Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality veterinary care to at-risk animals
Manage medical cases and oversee daily medical care
Lead team meetings and ensure efficient animal flow
Document medical records and maintain animal census
Collaborate with partner departments and provide public representation
Required Qualifications
DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
3+ years in general practice, specialty, and/or shelter setting
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to work standing for 8 or more hours
Preferred Qualifications
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Previous experience in shelters
