Job Description

The Director of Operations will oversee the agency's real estate portfolio, ensuring efficient property operations across NYC. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with vendors, and driving accountability through performance metrics, all aimed at maintaining safe and effective facilities for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of agency properties across five NYC boroughs
  • Manage area managers and handymen teams for routine maintenance
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing contractors
  • Ensure timely resolution of service tickets and enforce safety standards
  • Develop performance metrics for operational effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years working as a tradesperson (mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields)
  • 5 years managerial experience overseeing teams or operations
  • Experience with technical building systems
  • Understanding of maintenance operations and vendor management
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hybrid role with field and office responsibilities
  • Familiarity with life safety system requirements and contract management
  • Ability to develop and analyze performance metrics
  • Experience managing large real estate portfolios
