Job Description

Join the Regional Hospital of Scranton as an Ultrasound Technologist, where you'll perform essential diagnostic imaging to help improve patient care. With flexible evening shifts and a supportive team environment, you’ll ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort while utilizing advanced ultrasound technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations
  • Verify patient identification and ensure appropriate procedures are ordered
  • Document pathologies during scanning for radiologist interpretation
  • Ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during imaging procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
  • Document imaging procedures and patient information in electronic health records
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supply of imaging materials

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound Technology
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography certification
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within 7 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences
  • 2-4 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
