Shift/Schedule: Full Time Rotating; PRN Available
The Cook is responsible for preparing food and assuring that quality dining services are provided at all times.
Qualifications:
Two years cooking experience, dining service production or related experience requiredOne year supervisory or management experience preferredPrior experience working with seniors preferredAble to fully execute a recipeKnowledge of sanitary food handling practices and regulations related to departmentAble to demonstrate technical skillsFamiliar with techniques of using standardized recipesExcellent communication and customer service skillsResponsibilities and Expectations:
Prepares meals and snacks in accordance with planned menusEnsures that the meals and snacks served are palatable and appetizing in appearanceComplies with proper food handling procedures when preparing, holding, serving and storing foodsSupervises the dining services teamResponsible for cleanliness and sanitation of work areaResponsible for safety of kitchen work areaAssists Production Manager in maintaining proper levels of food inventory and suppliesActively participates in the dining service Quality Assurance Program
