Job Description

Description- FULLY REMOTE

Automation Engineer

Databricks is seeking a highly experienced Automation Engineer to lead the migration of our

existing Okta Workflows automations to our new enterprise automation platform. This is a critical

role in scaling and modernizing our internal automation platform, ensuring long-term flexibility,

observability, and maintainability of identity and access-driven workflows across the

organization. You’ll work closely with IT, Corporate Engineering, and Security stakeholders to

migrate and expand our critical business processes.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in workflow automation, enterprise

identity systems, and event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience

in Tines or comparable no-code/low-code automation tools (like Workato, Tray.io, or Zapier for

enterprise).

The impact you will have:

● Own the full migration lifecycle of our automations from Okta Workflows to Tines,

including audit, refactor, rebuild, and test.

● Partner with IT, Corporate Engineering, and Security teams to assess automation needs

and prioritize workflow migrations based on impact and function.

● Design scalable and modular Tines stories that improve reliability, reduce duplication,

and align with our evolving automation strategy.

● Build reusable templates and story patterns to accelerate future automation use cases

across the company.

● Maintain excellent documentation and handoff materials to enable others to contribute to

or maintain workflows after migration.

What we look for:

● 3+ years of hands-on experience working with enterprise automation platforms (e.g.,

Okta Workflows, Tines, Workato, Zapier, Power Automate).

● Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, SCIM, SSO/SAML/OIDC, and JSON data

structures.

● Strong system-thinking skills with the ability to break down complex business processes

into automated components.

● Experience with identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace) and

IT/SaaS service integrations.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capable of documenting logic and

decisions clearly and sharing knowledge effectively.

Nice to have:

Background in scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to validate data flows or simulate API

behavior.

● Prior experience migrating legacy automations into modern orchestration tools.

● Experience integrating with Slack, Jira, Google Workspace, Freshservice, HRIS (e.g.,

Workday), or AWS.
