Job Description
Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll develop cutting-edge GPS electronics solutions for missile products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead innovative projects, and ensure compliance with stringent requirements, all while contributing to national defense.
Key Responsibilities
Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements
Perform analysis, modeling, and testing of GPS sub-assemblies
Interface with suppliers to monitor compliance with requirements
Support multiple programs and travel as needed
Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams and leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance prior to the start date
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Understanding of navigation subsystems/components used in guidance electronics
Recent experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting
Experience with hardware integration and environmental testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
