Job Description

Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll develop cutting-edge GPS electronics solutions for missile products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead innovative projects, and ensure compliance with stringent requirements, all while contributing to national defense.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
  • Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements
  • Perform analysis, modeling, and testing of GPS sub-assemblies
  • Interface with suppliers to monitor compliance with requirements
  • Support multiple programs and travel as needed
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams and leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development
  • Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance prior to the start date
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
  • Understanding of navigation subsystems/components used in guidance electronics
  • Recent experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU
  • Knowledge of M-Code
  • Familiarity with Matlab scripting
  • Experience with hardware integration and environmental testing
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
  • Experience in developing proposals
  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
