Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
Educate patients and their families
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience or military RN experience
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through the AHA
Completion of a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within two years of hire
Cancer-specific Certification or ongoing qualifying education in oncology
Completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Status
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within one year of hire
One year of acute care RN experience in various settings
