Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front and back-office support as a float Patient Care Coordinator/Scheduler
  • Answer phone calls from multiple queues
  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Review and process prior authorization requests
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility & benefits
  • Collect insurance information and intakes for new patients
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
  • Prepare exam rooms for patients
  • Document patient encounters in Epic

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of medical front office or surgery scheduling experience
  • 1+ years of basic computer software experience
  • 1+ years experience as an MA-R or an MA-C

Preferred Qualifications

  • Surgery scheduling experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Prior authorization experience
