Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oregon RN license preferred
• Current nursing certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) – required for ER nursing jobs
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and provide immediate care to patients experiencing medical emergencies in the ER
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to deliver rapid, high-quality emergency care
• Delegate, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients in a clinical setting
• Ensure provision of quality patient care through utilization of the nursing process and adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and direct clinical personnel assigned to your care
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with healthcare regulations
