Job Description

Join Essentia Health as an Occupational Therapist providing essential therapy services to patients of all ages, focusing on improving their abilities and enhancing their quality of life. Work collaboratively within a care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patients
  • Provides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties
  • Provide physical therapy services across multiple units, including General Medical, ICUs, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Orthopedic/Urology, Neurological Rehabilitation, Oncology, and Behavioral Health
  • Demonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff
  • Complies with organization code of conduct
  • Meets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice
  • Work where the patient need is highest when home department schedule allows
  • Provide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientation
  • May serve as a clinical instructor and participate in department or therapy discipline committees

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
  • Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
