Cardio IC (Cardiovascular Intensive Care) 2 years exp required

Unit Overview

• Facility Type: Great hospital near Springfield, Illinois
• Unit Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU
• Patient Population:
  • Post-PCI
  • Post-CABG (Bypass)
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center or above

Required & Preferred Experience

• Required:
  • Experience titrating drips
  • Interpreting cardiac strips
• Preferred:
  • Open heart surgery patient care experience
  • Sheath pulling
  • CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
  • Prior work in Level 2 Trauma centers or higher

Support & Resources

• Hospitalist/Intensivist: In-house 24/7 (MD & NP coverage)
• Respiratory Therapy:
  • RTs assigned to ICU/PCU 24/7
  • All respiratory equipment available (Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, etc.)
• Telemetry Monitoring:
  • Monitor techs monitor cardiac rhythms
  • RNs required to interpret own cardiac strips
  • Telemetry Brand: Draeger
