Job Description
Join our team as a Patient Accounts Representative, where you will play a crucial role in managing patient billing and ensuring accurate financial transactions. Your expertise in insurance processes and customer service will help maintain financial integrity and support our patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of insurance processes including deductibles and copays
Accurately record payments from patients and insurance in the billing system
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
Interact with patients to address billing inquiries and establish payment arrangements
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
Maintain detailed records of all interactions related to patient accounts
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations like HIPAA
Generate reports on accounts receivable status and collections efforts
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
