Fisher Industries seeks a Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to operate and maintain heavy machinery on various projects. This role requires mechanical knowledge, teamwork, and the ability to work in diverse weather conditions. A sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
Assist with setup and tear down of plants
Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment
Maintain general housekeeping of equipment and plants
Lift objects weighing 80 lb. regularly
Move material using a shovel
Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment
Comply with safety guidelines and perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years old
Ability to operate equipment efficiently
Mechanical knowledge of equipment
Basic knowledge of welding and cutting torch use
Acceptable MVR in accordance with company policy
MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to work under adverse weather conditions
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Ability to work well in a team environment
Willingness to travel
