You’ll work in a small, rural hospital setting where you must be flexible to cover:

• Emergency Room
• Med Surg
• OB/Labor & Delivery (very limited role)

🏥 Unit & Facility Specifics:

• Average inpatient census: 3–5 patients
• Occasionally: 7–8 patients
• Staff per shift: Usually 3 nurses + 1 CNA
  • Occasionally 2 nurses + 1 CNA
  • Sometimes only 1 RN + 1 LPN + 1 CNA
• ER patients are typically shared among staff
• For OB/L&D:
  • You are not expected to deliver babies
  • You only need to room the patient, start IV, draw blood, and begin charting
  • On-call L&D nurse (Crisis RN) will be paged in for delivery or advanced care
