• Unit: Emergency Department (45 beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: December 12, 2025
• End Date: March 13, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Charting System: Epic EMR

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel nursing experience)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut RN license required (must apply prior to submission)
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• At least 1 professional reference required
• Not accepting local candidates (must reside more than 75 miles from facility)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Perform triage, assessment, and management of patients in a Level II Trauma Center
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, CPAP/BiPAP, and IV vasopressors
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Implement isolation precautions and care for ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation
• Participate in required orientation and annual training modules
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
