Job Description
The Medical Director at The Jewish Board will lead integrated care initiatives at a CCBHC, guiding clinicians and facilitating clinical operations. With a focus on substance use treatment, this role involves supervision, training, and providing direct client services, making a significant impact on community mental health.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians and programs
Lead clinical team meetings
Assist with prescription coverage and clinical consultations
Support psychiatric best practices and quality improvement processes
Conduct chart reviews for practitioners
Supervise NPP students and psychiatric providers
Provide direct client services
Partner with site-based leadership to oversee clinical operations
Required Qualifications
Active New York State medical license and DEA
Specialty or considerable experience in Substance Use Treatment
Preference for subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry
Certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine
Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
Subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience providing psychiatric care
Demonstrated commitment to training new providers
Comfort supervising students and newly graduated NPPs
