CVOR RN Job Details – Midland, MI

• Location: Midland, MI 48640 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 10-hour days (6:00am–4:30pm or 6:30am–5:00pm); staggered shifts (11:00am–9:00pm or as caseload dictates) required at least every third week
• On-Call: 1 to 2 nights per week and alternating weekends
• Overtime: May be required based on department needs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2560–$2750

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR RN experience (Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse)
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Michigan RN license (Registered Nurse jobs in Michigan)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current CVOR skills checklist (within 1 year)
• Two supervisory references from the last two years
• Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius from Midland, MI

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans during cardiovascular procedures with a focus on patient safety
• Supervise operating room activity, coordinate schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, and assist anesthesia as needed
• Monitor the sterile field and ensure adherence to clinical safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Participate in staff development through preceptorship, in-services, and educational meetings
