PenBay Medical Center is a 100-bed community hospital located in coastal Maine. Known for its patient-centered care , the facility features a collaborative team environment and strong relationships between staff, surgeons, and anesthesia providers.

Unit Details

• Beds: Surgical patients only (1:1 ratio)
• Staffing Model: Team-based; all staff assist with room turnovers
• EMR System: EPIC
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment
• Scrub Color: Provided by OR
• Floating Policy: May assist other units during low census (1:1 support only)
• Call Requirements:
  • 1 weeknight call per week (4:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • 1 weekend call (48 hours) every 6 weeks

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of OR circulating experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required for call coverage)
• Experience in smaller facility OR settings
• Ability to work across multiple service lines
