Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments and procedures
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs
Provides primary and emergency care
Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Guides ancillary personnel and maintains nursing standards
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
