Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing care for a diverse patient population, including medical surgical telemetry patients, orthopedics, urology, ENT, GYN, general surgery, and progressive care patients. Ideal candidates will have a strong clinical background, critical thinking skills, and the ability to integrate quickly into a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry and ensure appropriate medical interventions.
• Participate in code situations and rapid responses as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalist physicians.
• Oversee patient care techniques and protocols in alignment with established standards.
• Document patient care activities using the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, as well as NIH Stroke Scale certification prior to start.
• Experience with cardiac drips and insulin drips is required.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation system within the last two years is mandatory.
• Charge experience preferred, with the willingness to work in that capacity.
