• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am); possible mid/evening shifts; every other weekend/holiday; alternating nights; unpaid lunch
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification – required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience
• At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience
• Successful completion of hospital pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
• Proficient in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• Strong English communication skills
• De-escalation certification course – preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications – preferred

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer and monitor patient responses to medications
• Direct and guide patient care and teaching for ancillary personnel
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Develop discharge plans and communicate care plans with allied healthcare providers
• Demonstrate proficiency as charge nurse and in nursing informatics
• Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
• Follow safety and infection control policies
• Represent the hospital professionally and maintain confidentiality
• Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and coworkers
• Perform other duties as assigned
