Key Responsibilities
Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care
Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patient and interdisciplinary staff
Communicates changes in patient's clinical condition
Participates in discharge planning process
Maintains the standard of nursing care and implements hospital policies
Directs, supervises, and evaluates nursing care provided to patients
Documents patient assessments and care plans
Administers medication and performs treatments within scope of practice
Educates patients and families regarding pain management and care plans
Assists physicians with examinations and treatments
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse
BCLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program
ACLS certification
Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting
