Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine educational eligibility
  • Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members
  • Consult with team members and families to maximize skill generalization
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy notes
  • Manage time off requests during school breaks

Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
  • Current Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in speech therapy
  • Department of Education certification (if applicable)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs
