Medical Radiographer-Ultrasound

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Wrangell, Alaska. Radiology Technologist ~ Discipline: Allied Health Professional ~ Shift: 8 hours, days ~ Employment Type: Travel OB/GYN; small parts including breast, thyroid, and scrotum; Receives patients, explains procedures, and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care. Echocardiography is a plus. · Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients’ exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, copying and mailing exams to various facilities, and helping providers. Collaborates with facility's staff to create a positive working environment. · Documentation of QA and QC for facility's imaging modalities. Documents: high level disinfection, and other information per Joint Commission regulations. Associates degree with certification in diagnostic sonography. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program preferred 1 year Ultrasound experience Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound. Skilled at independently performing ultrasound. Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition. Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, computer technologists, and facility's staff.
