Job Opportunity: OB Labor and Delivery Nurse & Nursery Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for our Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Nursery departments. The ideal candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days from offer acceptance and will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients.

  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Call Requirements: None

Unit Profile

This position is available on the OB unit, which comprises:

  • 3 Labor and Delivery beds
  • 9 OB beds
  • 14 Nursery beds
  • 3 Intermediate Nursery beds

The OB unit typically has a low volume, with less than 15 deliveries per month.

Patient Population

The primary patient population includes:

  • Pregnant women (Level 3 OB)
  • Newborns in the nursery

Responsibilities

The selected nurses will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality nursing care in both Labor and Delivery and Nursery settings.
  • Monitoring fetal health and providing patient education.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-1.5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and/or Nursery care.
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or above, STABLE for nursery.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and newborn care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

Dress Code

Scrubs: Any color scrubs are acceptable. There are no restrictions on unacceptable attire.

Contract Details

This position is for a contract duration of 56 weeks, providing essential coverage during a leave of absence.
