Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions, contributing to their overall quality of life. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervises affiliated students
Participates in continuing education and departmental/community in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid driver's license for occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
