Job Description

Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll be at the forefront of maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. This role offers a dynamic work environment, focused on safety and quality service while providing on-the-job training for entry-level candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance
  • Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems
  • Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
  • Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
  • Ability to speak and read English well
  • Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
  • Must provide own tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems diagnostic software
  • Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
