ECU Health is looking for experienced nurses for internal travel assignments at in the Surgical Unit at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in historic Tarboro, NC.
Unit details
- 31-bed unit (27 general beds, four observation beds)
- Staffing ratios: 1:5 RN-to-Patient
- Primary population: Adolescents 13 years and older, adults, and geriatric patients receiving procedures like total joint replacement, laminectomies with fusion, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, colectomy, hysterectomy, appendectomy, or other orthopedic procedures. General medical patients may be admitted when necessary due to unavailability of beds on the Medical Unit.
Minimum requirements
- Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Greater than 1 year of nursing experience is required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required
Compensation package
- Base pay: up to $70/hour for all travel nursing positions
- 1.5x base hourly rate for overtime (over 40 hours) and holiday pay
- Additional $3.00/hour for stand-by pay and $2.00/hour for charge/preceptor pay
